A stirring recent example of the crossover between forensic photography and art took place when a forgotten archive of forensic photo negatives from the Los Angeles Police Department was discovered in 2001 in a city records warehouse by both the photographer and LAPD reserve officer Merrick Morton and Lieutenant John Thomas.
